The track continues through the Brisbane Water National Park, passing a few campsites before crossing the wide creek at a large rock platform. Not far beyond the creek is the lower Mooney Mooney Dam, where the old trail leads up past another campsite and a quarry to the Somersby Reservoir. The track then leads past some rural properties and across Robinson Creek, among the Gymea lilies (Doryanthes excelsa), before finishing with a section of road leading to the Somersby Store.
